2022 Overview
Year 3 is in the books
Another year of A Simple Gesture has come and gone and we're so thankful for your support this year! Because of your dedication to A Simple Gesture, this year we raised roughly
21,800 pounds!
This food goes directly to our community members of the High Country and your help to accomplish our mission of curbing food insecurity is invaluable. You all also helped to funnel more healthy items into our food pantry to provide options for our clients who struggle with health concerns such as diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. We are now able to provide those healthier alternatives for clients because of donations like yours!
We also couldn't have done it without the hard work of the volunteer drivers who pick up the donations and the sorters who help put the donations away when they come in! It's always a party on pick up days in our pantry, as the volunteers will tell you! Thank you to the volunteers who put work and effort toward our program this year!
ASG welcomed a new coordinator this year, Kayla Lasure, and you all hung on for the ride while she took the reins of the program. She's looking forward to charging towards new goals for ASG in 2023 to make the program bigger and better! Stay tuned for updates!
