Common drop-Off locations
Confused about where to drop off your bag or if your bag is able to be picked up? Watauga is literally a mountain and in some cases it takes 45 minutes just to get to one house. In an effort to reduce leaving a driver stranded and increase efficiency we have created drop off locations for some of the folks who are farther out in the county.

If a volunteer driver does not contact you in the days leading up to a pick up, you are more likely in a Drop Off Location Zone. Please read below which Drop Off Center is closest to you and kindly take your bag, please remember to grab a replacement bag!

You are more than welcome to drop off your bag at the Hunger and Health Coalition one week before a pick up and one week after the pick up. If you are dropping off please email asimplehhc@gmail.com.

Western Watauga Community Center
You can drop off your bag(s) at their location - 1081 Old US Highway 421 in Sugar Grove - June 6th through Thursday, 9th- we will pick up all the bags from their location on Friday, June 10th. If you will check in at the desk as you enter or w/Cindy in the office, they will take care of your bag. Please remember to pick up another empty bag to fill with your donated food for our next event.
Boone united methodist church
You can drop off your bag(s) at their location - 471 New Market Blvd, Boone
Sunday, June 5th (during church hours) and Monday June 6th - Wednesday, June 8th : 9am - 5 pm
- we will pick up all the bags from their location on Thursday, June 9th. Please remember to pick up another empty bag to fill with your donated food for our next event.
blowing rock chamber of commerce
You can drop off your bag(s) at their location - 132 Park Ave, Blowing Rock - Monday, June 6th through June 10th - we will pick up all the bags from their location on Friday, June 10th. Please remember to pick up another empty bag to fill with your donated food for our next event.
deep gap fire station
You can drop off your bag(s) at their location - 6583 Old 421 South in Deep Gap- Monday, June 6th through Thursday, June 9th- we will pick up all the bags from their location on Friday, June 10th. You can drop off your bags right inside the door in the hallway, or if the bigger sliding doors are open you can stick the bags in there. They are there daily from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, so if possible, please bring them by anytime between then! Please remember to pick up an empty Simple Gesture bag to fill with your donated food for our next event.
foscoe fire station
You can drop off your bag(s) at their location - 9230 Highway 105 - Monday, June 6th through Thursday, June 9th- we will pick up all the bags from their location on Friday, June 10th. If you will leave your bag(s) just inside the door, they will take care of your bag. Please remember to pick up another empty bag to fill with your donated food for our next event.
