Location: Boone, North Carolina
-
15-20 Hours Per Week
This position will report directly to the Program Coordinator for A Simple Gesture (ASG). They will help in expanding the program, broadening the audience of ASG, attending events and speaking engagements, helping to create promotional materials and maintaining the website. The right person will have a passion for nonprofits and exemplify being a compassionate community member.

Responsibilities:

Helping to increase the audience of ASG including to maintain social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram)

Maintaining the brand of ASG including maintenance of the website.

Creating social media posts to increase viewership and engagement.
-
Helping to create material for the newsletter to over 600 donors.

Expanding outreach to businesses, organizations and churches throughout Watauga County.

Maintain the database (Salesforce) for ASG.
-
Cultivate relationships with ASG Volunteer Sorters and Volunteer Drivers while also soliciting new volunteers.

Helping to create promotional materials for events.

Enlisting organizations to speak to about the mission of ASG and ways they can get involved.

Helping to be a liaison for ASG, being able to answer questions to donors, staff and volunteers.
